Cost Benefit Analyzer

So, today I’ll be sharing a file that when you want to find out what the difference between benefits and costs are of something such as a behavior, action, etc.  It automatically adds up the benefits and the costs that you put numbers for below the Benefit heading and the Cost heading.  On the left side type a description of what the number for the benefit is supposed to be representing.  On the right side type a description of what the number for the cost is supposed to be representing.  When you’re done with these columns run the macro and it will show he difference of the benefits and the costs at the bottom.

I would use this for example like they do in Cognitive Behavior Therapy for having a behavior.  You can use this to see if your behavior is worth having.

It can be used if your stressing over if you should do something or not.  This has been called by some as the Ben Franklin named after  one of the Founding Fathers of the United States.

To download it so you can edit it.  Click the three dots that are in a horizontal line and scroll down and click on “download”.

Spreadsheet For Analyzing Stocks

I have a created a useful Excel file that works by running a Macro to analyse key statistics of stocks.
In in order to do this right you have to have a Fidelity account.  (If you haven’t already done so the website is
fidelity.com.)
After you’re signed in you go to the News and Research tab, then scroll-down and left click Stocks.
After that put in whatever stock symbol you want information on.  Left click on the drop-down box that says Snapshot and change it by hitting “K” for key statistics and then press Enter.
Select all the text that you see there and copy it.  Then click the download icon in the box below to download the file I created.  (This goes without saying you need MS Excel.)

Open it up and make sure you left-click on Enable Editing and Enable Content other wise the stock analyzing macro won’t work.

Before running the macro get the number of the Analyst’s Opinions by changing “key statistics” to Analyst Opinions and put that number in cell G2.

Then change “Analyst’s Opinions” to “Dividends” and then add what dividend percentage you see there to cell H2.

Now run the Macro.  (You may run into a problem because of the security setting not enabling macros to run if that’s the issue follow the stops with this website below:

https://www.dummies.com/software/microsoft-office/excel/how-to-set-the-macro-security-level-in-excel-2010/ or Google how to do it.

Also, after changing the security level close the file and re-open it.  Then you should be able to run it.

If it runs successfully the higher the number or the percentage the better programming of the macro thinks the stock is.

“Food For Thought” for 2019

So, blame it on having too much time on my hands due to the holidays but this time alone has spurred thoughts that I care to share. Today I read an article on-line that stated that with both men and women who consume coffee daily are 50% less likely to commit suicide.

Please reference: https://news.harvard.edu/gazette/story/2013/07/drinking-coffee-may-reduce-risk-of-suicide-by-50/

I think a big part of this is the ability to use our brains more for imagination. For me imagination is a double edged sword – as it is for most people – as panic attacks are attributed to imagining bad things happening. On the other hand, I believe imagination is what gives us ability – when used constructively – to create something new, or to formulate a solution to a problem. It’s what I believe is like the gateway to our minds being part of a higher power which is the creator of all life and things in the beginning.

Not that I’m an avid reader of the Bible but I do know it states that God made man in his own image; and, as God is written about as the Creator of all life, planets, and the universe. Likewise with this concept imagination is what allows us to create in general. I can speak from personal experience that having suicidal thoughts can mainly be because of two attributing thoughts. First, that the pain is so great in life that the pain and discomfort associated with dying seems to be of lessor magnitude. Two, that there isn’t –at least perceived–a way out of the painful situation. So, to be able to have a way out, one first has to first visualize or imagine the more ideal situation. Then one can use more rational thinking to figure out how to get there.

Here;s a related article: https://www.thekitchn.com/the-link-between-coffee-and-creativity-225036

Ok, so you could argue that the following clause in the first article is the real reason there is less suicide,

Caffeine not only stimulates the central nervous system but may act as a mild antidepressant by boosting production of certain neurotransmitters in the brain, including serotonin, dopamine, and noradrenaline.

Looking at it from a scientific standpoint it is probably more accurately why there is less tendency to commit suicide. Of course later it states that too much caffeine isn’t good and if your heart can’t take it you actually can die from cardiac arrest which I read happened to a 16 year old boy.

I was pretty much mentioning about creativity as it pertains to more of an aspect that sets humans apart  from animals. Although, I could be wrong I would think that if a dog were given caffeine it might just bark, growl or run more as apposed to get creative with it;s brain as much as a human would.

ANYWAY, in ending I think so far the best advice as related to all this is what I read from this article:

Proof that Quantum Computing Outperforms Regular Computing

So, more and more I have been seeing articles about Quantum computing surpassing the computing power of regular computing such as stated in this article…

https://markets.financialcontent.com/stocks/news/read/37135628/there%E2%80%99s_now_proof_that_quantum_computers_can_outperform_classical_machines

I perdict that when they really hit the market for the regular user such as you and me that the cost for computers with classical computing will go down a lot.

Attacks on U.S. Power Grid

Going into more and more the age of cyber warfare I just hope that as the US continues to “upgrade” the power grid that they don’t have some centralized trunk that can be adversely affected by malware that brings down centralized system bringing other devices down as history has shown data software bug could actually impede operators from maintaining or sustaining the operation of the related power system see here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northeast_blackout_of_2003

Also, reference this on Russian hackers: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/07/27/us/politics/russian-hackers-electric-grid-elections-.html

Although, this is plausible I would hope there would really be no political motive in really exercising such an attack.

Quantum Computing

Been a while since I’ve done a post with WordPress.com and today is on an upcoming trend where you’ll see big corporations like IBM and AT & T riding this digital or I should say Quantum wave…In a nutshell and getting past a lot of the scientific sh*t that can and started to drive me crazy to try to understand this is the basic concept…

2^n x 2^n = the total number of matrix elements

Here, n is the number of qubits the quantum gate is operating on. As you can see, this number goes through the roof as the number of qubits (n) increases. With one qubit, it’s 4. With two, it’s 16. With three, it’s 64. With four, it’s… hopeless.  The ^ means that you’re multiplying the number on the left by itself the n is explained above.  Without qubits in the equation a byte is equal to 8 bits, a megabyte is equal to 100000 bytes, a Gigabyte is equal to 1000 Megabytes.  Now, just imagine before all those equations the bit which is base 2 is increased by the number of qubits.

Using What’s In Our Subconcience

So, one of the steps that was outlined in NLP is that everything we need is within our subconcience mind … the question is then how do we uncover what’s in our subconcience mind….and time and time again I have head from the greats like Brian Tracy, Zig Ziglar and others to write down our goals…this is the framework to get we need our subconcience to work…

4 practical ways to access the power of your subconscious mind

You are probably aware that you have another aspect of yourself – your deeper, subconscious mind. It is likely that you have encountered it’s nature during dreams or when you have listened to your ‘gut instinct’. You may not have realized the true potential of this part of yourself – being able to tap into your subconscious mind can introduce you to a version of yourself with more wisdom than you could imagine!

1. Free writing

This is a technique that allows you to tap into your subconscious thoughts and emotions. For the most effectiveness, try writing in the morning as soon as you wake up. Then you are more likely to be able to tap into the remnants of your dream experiences. Write as quickly as you can, without pausing to consciously think of what you want to write. Pay no attention to grammar, spelling or any of the usual things your consciousness tells you to mind when you are writing. The important thing is only to get down on paper what is in your head. The results may surprise you. Try it for a week – many people have found that this technique becomes an indispensable tool for keeping grounded and being able to access the deeper part of themselves.

2. Learn to meditate

Of all the methods of accessing the power of your subconscious mind, meditation is the most direct and most immediately effective. Learning to meditate is not difficult and studies have shown as little as 20 minutes a day can be very beneficial to your mental and physical health.
Meditation changes and deepens your brain patterns from the normal disorganized ‘beta’ pattern to alpha waves and through to delta and theta in deep meditation. In these states of consciousness your conscious mind is in much more direct contact with your subconscious. You will find that your thinking becomes much more creative and much less limited by the normal constraints of your logical mind. As you continue with your meditation practice you will soon be able to access the power of your subconscious whenever you please.

3. Seek your own counsel

There are many variations of this exercise but they all revolve around a central idea which is holding an imagined conversation between your conscious and subconscious self. You will find that this exercise will become more effective once you are more familiar and proficient with your favorite meditation techniques. Before you go to sleep at night, imagine you are sitting at a counsel table. You can invite as many or as few people to sit at the table with you as you like. You may just like to start with inviting just one other person – your ‘wise being’ or counselor. It is important to visualize your wise being with as much detail as possible. You may choose to ‘invite’ a departed grandparent, a famous figure, a person you admire or just a being of your own imagining. Realise that this person is wise beyond your imagining and holds the answer to all your questions. Sit and be at peace with your wise counselor and when you are ready ask them to answer a question that is troubling you. Sometimes the answer to the question may be completely unexpected and might greatly surprise you. Listen very carefully when this occurs as your subconscious is trying to tell you something important.
If you persist with this exercise regularly you will soon find that your wise counselor becomes more and more vivid in your mind’s eye and it will become easier and easier to converse with him or her. When this happens you have gained a pathway to your subconscious and truly unlocked the wisdom inside yourself.

4. Grow your creativity

The subconscious mind often prefers to speak through the non-literal and artistic language; whilst our conscious mind finds the more logical and concrete language more to it’s liking. Enable your subconscious to communicate with you by giving it the language to do so – paint, write, play music, draw… It doesn’t matter which artistic language you choose and you don’t need to be a natural talent. As long as you are expressing yourself artistically you are allowing your subconscious to develop

If you have any ideas please share in your comments.

Questioning Authority

The school system is to program people to act as slaves in the working environment they have devised a map for us to follow. If you’ve ever read the book by “Robert Kyosaki’s called Rich Dad Conspiracy of the Rich The 8 New rules of money” you will see what I’m talking about. You guys okay some programming class. It’s interesting how they don’t keep you about basic things in school about money even college courses don’t really teach you about being like Rockefeller or the ones that part of the super rich because they don’t want most of the people of the higher percentage to be super rich. They want most of the people to be as part of the cog wheel or as part of the ones that keep this system afloat as slaves and more and more rights are being taken away. Examples the first amendment. I really do believe is being repeated upon. example I remember the time where they wanted to make so that people were charged for using wikipedia.org and stuff like that because they’re trying to suppress people from having knowledge.

Where I was let go of course, they let go of a lot of people and there was a real high turn around. Anyway, I’m talking about AGR for those that know that I worked there I questioned authority a lot.

Let’s put it this way. Hillary Clinton herself has admitted that the US government funded Isis. Okay. so and that doesn’t come from just her by the way that comes from other sources as well.  The United States funding an evil group called Isis. Now with that being said and considering the fact that it comes from multiple sources shouldn’t we question 911.  Did somehow the US allow it to happen?  The United States if not directly, indirectly be the source of it. Shouldn’t we question the fact that people that speak out on the government  somehow are mysteriously murdered when they talk about what they know. When we have an outburst about something we feel as injust and use our First Amendment right to speak out and then we get for example in my situation –because I’ve had this experience first hand—get a trespass warning. But people don’t want to know the truth. They don’t want to open their eyes. The truth is scary. It scares me even.

What I think drives people insane at least when it comes to authority is when you have one authority say that you got to do one thing or else something bad is going to happen and then you have Regarding the same situation another authority that tells you to do the opposite or else and so it’s damned if you do and damned if you don’t. I’ve had this personal experience with my last position. And it really did drive me insane. And people just figured I was always crazy which in some respects I am but I guess everything is relative. ISIS running around killing people is definitely more crazy than I am and in any event It’s interesting that people really do not know how to question authority.  For example when I grew up I was in a Scientology family. And there are things that I question in Scientology and when I post something to sell that’s Scientology related… It’s like people don’t know about Scientology They don’t know what to question. They just say, “you should burn it” . And it’s interesting that there are some useful things in Scientology. I for instance agree that there are “Demon circuits”. I don’t necessarily believe that Xenu took took over people and programmed demon circuits within people’s minds and those demons circuits are now affecting them lifetimes from then;however, I myself struggle with quote un quote circuits that loop in my mind if not my brain. I’m not sure which it is or maybe it’s both. Telling me to do something over and over. in any event enough for now.  Later.
